Sri Lankan Inflation drops

Sri Lanka’s inflation is in a real downward slope as computed by Colombo Consumers’ Price Index (CCPI) has reached 5.3 in May. It is also the lowest since the beginning of the year. The inflation was reported to be 6.5% in January, 6.9% in February  6.3% in March and 5.8% in April, 2010.

The annual inflation is at 3.6% according to the Statistics Department.
